A Dangerous hike to Cliff Dwellings in Arizona
These cliff dwellings were created by the Salado people. We hiked 9.6 miles round trip in very tough terrain to see the ruins for ourself. This hike is very dangerous. There are rattlesnakes and heat stroke can take place quickly. It is steep. It is extremely remote and evacuation very difficult.
The rules and consequences for breaking those rules are clearly marked on the trail. Do not harm any of the ruins or take any artifacts found.
