Bitcoin
Bitcoin is called a virtual currency, digital currency or crypto-currency. A bitcoin exists as a unique file of data. Bitcoins exist due to a clever protocol created to create (via bitcoin “mining”) bitcoins and transfer them. The creator goes by the pseudnym Shashati Shasimimoto and was speculated to be a Japanese computer science student. There is some degree of anonymity of bitcoin transactions, but since all transactions are publicly available, determined analysis may reveal the likely owner of bitcoins of interest.
