They appear to act like a non-Newtonian fluid: rigid under high shear stress, but they flow like a liquid under low shear.

This is the story of the Cover up at Hueyatlaco. Possibly the biggest archeological cover up in the history of the world. Have humans ALWAYS been in the Americas? If the archeology and geology that was done at Hueyatlaco is correct, then history would change forever. The dates of some of the artifacts were ranging between 250,000 and 800,000 years old!

In 1987, Steven Weinberg wrote a cute little paper entitled “Anthropic Bound on the Cosmological Constant”. I say cute little paper because it feels minor in comparison to, say, electroweak unification theory that won him the Nobel Prize. Weinberg was foundational in establishing the standard model of particle physics, and represented an enormous leap in understanding how this universe works. But his little 1987 paper, though more obscure, may tell us something about how the multiverse works, and can even be thought of as evidence for the existence of an enormous number of other universes.

Rods from God.

This is the nickname for a theoretical space weapon, in which large rods of tungsten would be dropped onto Earth based targets.

The idea behind this weapon is that the projectiles would build up enough speed, and thus kinetic energy, which would cause bomb-like destruction on the ground below.

The concept was devised during the Cold War but has faced heavy criticism both logistically and scientifically.

However, it has certainly made its mark on science fiction, both appearing in and being referenced across many media, from TV to video games.

But could it work in practice?

But it’s also been argued that the very idea of a multiverse is just bad science. That it’s unfalsifiable and a dead-end to inquiry and as bad a violation of Occam’s razor as you could imagine. But the multiverse might also exist. Can something that exists be bad science?
